After a childhood in North Africa, Kaouthar earned a PhD (summa cum laude, Sorbonne Lumières, France) and had an extensive academic career as a professor of Gender and Media Studies at the University of Amsterdam, Netherlands, as well as a lecturer and sexologist.

As one of the world’s leading experts in Femininity, Leadership, and Sexuality, Kaouthar has spent nearly 30 years scientifically researching, teaching, and embodying these subjects through dance.

She teaches her Divine Dance all over the world and considers herself blessed to have learned this ancient dance, Raqsat Al Ilahat (Dance of the Goddesses, a 4,000-year-old Mesopotamian tradition), through her female lineage in North Africa.

The ancient vision of the Earth as feminine—as a Goddess—led her to recognize the connection between ecological destruction and the oppression of the feminine in our societies.

Since then, much of her work has explored the role of Feminine Leadership and Sexuality in healing and helping our planet thrive.
