Lithuanian nature is abundant with herbs and other vegetation in summer, so I would like to invite women to a different kind of educational activity. I invite you to learn how to use each beautiful leaf or fragrant petal to print fabric, or how to learn how to print textiles with vegetable dyes. During this magical gathering, I would like to share with you three ways of printing plants:

❖ Plant prints on natural fabrics. 🌿

❖ Wax drawing and painting with plant decoctions. 🌿

❖ Shibori / Plangi fabric printing technique. We will create different patterns on fabrics. 🌿

In this workshop you will have the opportunity to bring back to life old fabrics! We will probably each find a white cotton or linen garment we no longer need. Don't forget to look for them and take them with you!🌿

I am Kristina Šorienė, textile educator. For 14 years I have been creating felt and batik art, lighting objects, teaching textile and ethnological art classes. In the last four years I've been immersed in dyeing with plants, which I've been using more and more often in my work. I am currently creating a dye garden on my plot :)
